Newton Votes 2021: Preliminary Mayoral Election Guide
Here's everything you need to know about the Sept. 14 preliminary mayoral election in Newton.

NEWTON, MA â There will be a preliminary election for mayor in Newton on Tuesday, September 14.
The preliminary will determine which candidates move on to the general election in November. Races with more than two candidates require preliminary elections, and there are currently three candidates for mayor in Newton.

Where can I vote?
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Two of Newton's polling places have been relocated for this election. All other polling locations will remain the same as they were last year. The new polling locations are as follows:

- Ward 3 Precinct 1
- New Location: Nordic Hall at the Scandinavian Living Center, 206 Waltham St.
- Ward 8 Precinct 2
- New Location: Oak Hill Middle School, 130 Wheeler Rd.
