Newton-Wellesley Hospital to Host 'Think Pink Girls' Night Out'

NEWTON, MA – Newton-Wellesley Hospital will host "Think Pink Girls' Night Out" Thursday at the Newton Marriott.

The free event, which the hospital calls "a celebration of women's health," will feature food, wine and opportunities for socializing while doctors speak about various health issues and tips.

6:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Welcome Reception

Start the night off with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a wine reception while visiting a variety of health and wellness displays. Enter to win door prizes!

7 to 7:30 p.m. - Cancer Prevention and Tips for a Healthy Lifestyle

Amy Comander, MD, Medical Director of Auerbach Breast Center

Learn cancer prevention tips and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Comander will be discussing how certain behaviors can reduce an individual's risk of developing cancer. Her presentation will also focus on concerns and challenges following cancer treatment. Dr. Comander will take questions after her talk.

7:30 to 8:30 p.m. - Jeopardy: Women's Health Edition
