Newton's Carroll Center for the Blind Appoints New President
Gregory Donnelly, a longtime operational and senior executive at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, will begin his tenure in August.

Newton, MA â The Carroll Center for the Blind has named a 20-year healthcare veteran its next president.
Gregory Donnelly comes to the Carroll Center from Massachusetts Eye and Ear, where he began his management career in 1997 and served as an operational and senior management executive.
"I have enjoyed every moment of my time at MEE, where I was given many opportunities to advance my career and work with world-renowned and highly professional staff. For the past 19 years I have been singularly dedicated to MEEâs mission, which is very closely aligned with the mission of the Carroll Center; to serve the needs of the blind and visually impaired,â Donnelly said in a press release. âI really see this next opportunity with another great non-profit organization as the pinnacle of my career."

During his time at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Donnelly directed more than 13 different departments, both in support and clinical service fields. His accomplishments include implementation of new service initiatives and expansion, new construction and renovation of departments, profitable financial performance and the development of innovative customer service programs.
"Gregâs extensive leadership and managerial experience at MEE, a non-profit organization that has partnered closely with the Carroll Center for many years, will certainly serve us well," Carol Covell, chair of the Caroll Center board of directors, said in the release. "He is eager and well prepared to take on the challenge of leading the Carroll Center far into the future. Our board members and our staff are excited to begin this new chapter with Greg at the helm."

Donnelly's tenure at the center will begin August 8.
