There are five Level 3 sex offenders living or working in the city.

Newton has five high-level sex offenders living or working in the city.

The Level 3 designation is reserved for the most severe offenders, according to the state’s Sex Offender Registry Board. These types of sex offenders pose a ”high risk” to reoffend. They are not wanted by police—and it’s illegal to use the following information to commit a crime or engage in any discrimination or harassment against an offender.

  • Michael Jean, 33. Works at 253 Riverview Ave. Convicted of raping a child and indecent assault in 1997.
  • John Corbett, 56. Lives at 175 Adams St. Convicted of aggravated rape in 1990.
  • William Knapp, 54. Works at 1211 Washington St. Convicted of assault with intent to commit rape in 1978, assault with intent to commit rape in 1988, and indecent assault and battery in 1988.
  • Donald Turner, 47. Works at 220 Boylston St. Convicted of raping a child in 1992 and raping a child in 1998.
  • Daniel Wilson, 53. Lives at 385 Newtonville Ave. Convicted of indecent assault and batter of a child in 1984, indecent assault and battery on a child in 2000, raping a child in 2000, and child pornography possession in 2006.
