Newton's MLK Day Celebration 2019 Still On
Here's what to know about MLK Day At First Baptist Church in Newton.

NEWTON, MA — The 51st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Newton Community Celebration is on for Monday, despite the ice and freezing temperatures.
A medley of performers include Jubilee Singers, Monologue Project, Gospel LoveTones and Treble Singers will perform at this year’s celebration at the First Baptist Church of Newton, 848 Beacon St., starting at 9:30 a.m.
Following the event, the Harmony Foundation and First Baptist Church will be co-hosting a Community Coffee – Engagement and Activism, a resource fair for conversation and next steps in your community.

The Rotary Club of Newton is collecting donations of toiletries for Newton's food pantries.
The Harmony Foundation was established to promote understanding and respect among people from different faiths, races and ethnic backgrounds.
