Newton's Sweet Tart Opens Wonka-Inspired Pop-Up at The Street
No golden ticket required.

NEWTON, MA – If you ever wanted to explore Willy Wonka's chocolate factory without the risk of turning into a giant blueberry, drowning in a chocolate river or being banished to the inside of a TV, then check out Sweet Tart's pop-up at The Street.
The Newton-based dessert shop opened a Wonka-inspired candy store at the Chestnut Hill shopping complex Monday to span the holiday season. But get there fast, as it closes Jan. 2.
The Sweet Tart pop-up features more than 100 types of sweets, as well as a pink tree decorated with gum balls and rock candy. Shoppers can create their own unique combination of sweets, filling the bag with malt balls, chocolate covered gummy bears, sour belts and more, and are charged by bag weight.

"Sweet Tart is The Street’s first shop devoted exclusively to candy, and a welcome, locally-owned addition to the property this holiday season. Joining other retailers devoted to sugary treats, Sweet Tart allows The Street to fulfill every possible dessert craving," Allison Yee, general manager of The Street, said in a statement.
Sweet Tart is open seven days a week at 49 Boylston St. Its hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mon.-Thurs., 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
