Newton's Veterinary Emergency Group Joins Dare To Care Campaign
The campaign supports VEG Cares, which provides life-saving care to pets in need.
NEWTON, MA — Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Newton is participating in the month-long Dare to Care Campaign to support VEG Cares and raise funds to help the local community and their pets.
The campaign kicked off on September 1 in San Ramon, California, where the Dare to Care Rocketship launched and will make its way to 24 VEG hospital locations before landing in Valhalla, New York on October 3 for a pet-friendly 5K walk/run. The rocket ship visited the Newton location for its Dare to Care Day on Friday, Sept. 17.
“Dare to Care is a celebration of our VEGgies coming together and giving back to local communities and their pets in need,” said Dr. David Bessler, founder and CEO of VEG, in a statement. “The month-long celebration will also allow our VEGgies to support other causes that they are passionate about.”
