NewTV Short Film Challenge for Students
NewTV's Short Film Challenge is for Newton students. Winning films will be screened at NewTV and as part of Newton's Festival of the Arts.
For one week in February, NewTV will be hosting a Short Film Challenge for Newton students. The challenge begins with a kickoff event at NewTV on February 15 and lasts until February 22. At the kickoff event, each team will choose the genre of their film out of a hat and will also be given a required character, prop, and line of dialogue that they must incorporate into their film. They will have the rest of the week to produce a 4-7 minute film.
The top three films will be featured during a special screening event at NewTV and they will be screened Newton’s Festival of the Arts in May. An additional prize will be awarded to the first place team.
