Nonantum Children’s Christmas Party Assoc. To Host Holiday Events
The annual Park Lighting and Christmas Parade will support the organization's many charitable endeavors.
NEWTON, MA — The Nonantum Children’s Christmas Party Association, Inc. will hold its annual Park Lighting and Christmas Parade this December to support its any charitable efforts throughout the year.
Money raised at the two events will help provide for the John M. Barry Boys & Girls Club, the sports leagues of Newton, Newton Recreation Department, Newton Athletes Unlimited, other civic organizations and scholarships, and families in need, elderly, and veterans in the community.
The Park Lighting will be held on Sunday, December 5 at Coletti-Magni Park. Hot chocolate and caroling will begin at 6:15 p.m. and Santa will arrive just after the lights go on at 7:00 a.m. Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa with a return address or email a letter to Santa at nonantumccpa.org.

The Christmas Parade will take place on Sunday, Dec. 19 beginning at 12 p.m. The parade will take Santa and friends all over Nonantum to bring holiday cheer to local families and Santa and friends will end the parade with a 45-minute visit at Coletti-Magni Park. Here is the parade route:
- Start North on Adams St from Middle St 12:00 PM
- Left on Watertown St
- Right on Broadway
- Right on Linwood Ave
- Left on Bridge St Approx. 12:30 PM
- Right on California St
- Right on Dalby St
- Straight on Cook St
- Left on Green St
- Left on Capitol St Approx. 1:00 PM
- Left on Watertown St
- Right on Jasset St
- Left on Beech St
- Left on Faxon St
- Right on Watertown St
- Left on Chapel St
- Right on Middle St Approx. 1:30 PM
- Straight on Lincoln Rd
- Right on Hawthorn St
- Right on Watertown St
- Arrive at Coletti-Magni Park at Approx. 2:00 PM
