One Killed by Train in Newton

The MBTA said Friday night a teenager was struck and killed by the Commuter Rail.

NEWTON, MA – A person was killed by an MBTA Commuter Rail train in Newton Friday night, Transit Police said.

According to police, a person was struck by a train around 8:45 p.m. Responding officers reported a male approximately in his teens was found "trespassing" on the inbound track of the Worcester Line in the area of the West Newton off ramp in Newtonville.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
