
Margaret M. “Peg” (O’Neill) Dowling, of West Newton passed away on June 30, 2015 at the Newton Wellesley Hospital. She was 77.
Born in Waltham Peg was a lifelong resident of Newton. She was a graduate of Our Lady’s High School and received her nursing degree from Catherine Laboure School of Nursing at Carney Hospital in Dorchester. She worked for over 20 years at Newton Wellesley Hospital and also 20 years at Boston College. She was a volunteer with the St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Charles Church in Waltham and had made meals for the Bristol Lodge in Waltham.

Peg was the beloved wife of the late William H. “Ace” Dowling Jr., and was the loving mother of Dennis P. Dowling, Capt. NPD and his wife Tricia of Medfield and Maureen G. Dowling of West Newton, grandmother of Kelsey, Connor and Seamus, and sister of John O. O’Neill of Framingham and Catherine A. O’Neill of Medfield.
Her funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Tues July 7 at 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at Noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Mon 4-8 PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery Needham.
