Police Arrest Woman in Newton In connection with Hit-and-Run Of Boy
Breaking: A woman was arrested in connection with the hit and run that killed a 4-year-old boy.

NEWTON, MA— Today in Newton Police arrested a woman in connection with the hit and run that killed a 4-year-old Framingham boy on Easter, April 16, in Milford.
Melissa Knight, 54, of Depot Road, in Milford, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash after causing injuries that caused death and misleading a police investigation.
A small boy named Jonathan Loja was killed after he ran onto Water Street while playing in his grandmother's yard that sunday. Police were originally on the look out for a red Scion they said they believed had been at the scene during the time of the crash, but dismissed it, ultimately focusing on two other vehicles, then narrowing it down to one.

Knight was placed under arrest by detectives in Newton around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4.
