Police Investigating Burglary At Newton Home

The homeowner told Patch the suspect took cash, valuables, and his and his family's passports.

NEWTON, MA — Police are investigating a burglary that took place on Oct. 5 at a home near Newton South High School.

The homeowner told Patch the suspect took cash, valuables, and his and his family’s passports.

According to Newton Police Chief John Carmichael, no suspects are in custody at this time. However, a detective has been assigned to the case.

“In this specific matter, the detective continues to investigate and has sent photographs of the suspect out to local law enforcement networks as part of the investigation,” Carmichael said in an email.

The incident remains under investigation and no further information has been released.
