Police Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash On I-95 In Newton

Police say a 32-year-old Ludlow man was killed after losing control of his motorcycle.

NEWTON, MA — Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that took place on I-95 northbound in Newton Friday night.

Troopers from the Framingham barracks responded to the crash around 9:30 p.m. in the area of the 37.0 mile marker, said police in a news release Saturday. A 32-year-old man from Ludlow was found unresponsive and EMTs immediately performed CPR in an attempt to save his life. The man was taken to Newton Wellesley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say a preliminary investigation reveals that the man, who was driving a 2018 Harley Davidson, was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of the motorcycle.

The third and fourth travel lanes of I-95 were temporarily shut down Friday night due to the crash and investigation.

The crash remains under investigation and no further information has been released.
