Police Log: 2 Charged with OUI, Newton-Wellesley Patient Attacks Staff, Man's Diaper Bag Stolen

A man on Tarleton Road said someone stole two bicycles from his shed. One of the bikes was an orange Sirrus; the other was a gray Trek.

A 35-year-old man was charged with OUI, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and failure to stop. Police said he was arrested after crashing his silver Honda Civic at the intersection of California Street and Nevada Street and fleeing the scene.

A man said his black Vera Bradley diaper bag was stolen from his front porch at Adams Street.

A patient at c was charged with assault and battery on a healthcare provider after police were dispatched to the hospital because the patient was fighting security and staff.

Nicholas J. Venditti, 31, of 22 Central St., Newton, was charged with OUI and a lane violation after police said his vehicle veered off the road and onto a sidewalk on Waltham Street.
