Police Log: Woman Gets Threatening Note, Wiper Broken, For Parking in a Spot She 'Shouldn't Have' in Snow
The following are excerpts from the Newton police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Feb. 9
- Police responded to a report of a past B&E on Burnside Road. The reporting man said that his wallet was taken from his residence along with a bank debit card. He said he didn’t think he locked the door.
- Malicious damage was reported to police from a person on Walnut Street. The person said that yesterday afternoon she parked her car in the rear lot on Walnut Street, and because of the snow, she parked in a space she usually doesn’t use. When she returned to her vehicle, she found her passenger side windshield wiper blade broken off and a note under it. The note said that she shouldn’t steal parking spaces and that she did not shovel out. It also said she would be lucky if her car started next time she stole someone else’s space.
