Police: 'Resident Taking It Upon Themselves to Enforce Parking Laws'
A woman went to church to find her car covered in yellow duct tape and fliers.

A woman in town attended an event on Jan. 2 at Congregation Shaarei Tefilah on Morsland Ave., only to find her car enveloped in yellow duct tape and fliers when she returned to leave.
Reporting the incident to Newton police, she told them she didn’t think she had violated any parking restrictions where she had parked. She arrived around 3:30 p.m. and parked her 2015 Audi on Channing Road until around 9:45 p.m.
“When she returned to her car, there were yellow pieces of paper duct taped to every window of it,” wrote police in the incident report. “The tape on the drivers window extended down the door panel covering the opening to the door. To get into the car, she had to carefully remove the tape as to not damage the paint.”

The fliers found on the car are prepared by the temple to ask attendees to be courteous to the neighborhood when parking.
“I have seen these fliers before as I have had a similar incident reported to me in the past,” wrote the officer.” It is unknown which resident is taking it upon them self to enforce parking laws on Channing Road.”
