Public Hearing in Newton on All-Electronic Tolling
MassDOT will hold the first of five meetings on the proposed gantry prices Monday at Newton City Hall.

NEWTON, MA – On Monday, the first of five public hearings next week on MassDOT's proposed new gantry prices for all-electronic tolling will be held in Newton.
Four years ago, MassDOT decided to shift to all-electronic tolling on the Massachusetts Turnpike, as well as Boston tunnels and the Tobin Bridge, and has been testing the system ahead of its October launch.

MassDOT is asking drivers for their input on the proposed rates at five meetings next week.
The first will be held Mon., Sept. 12 in the Newton City Hall War Memorial Room at 1000 Commonwealth Ave. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

Wed., Sept. 14: Jackson Mann School, in the auditorium, 40 Armington Street,
Allston
Wed., Sept. 14: Springfield City Hall, Room 220, 36 Court Street, Springfield
Thurs., Sept. 15: MassDOT Highway Division District 1 Headquarters, Main
Conference Room, 270 Main Street, Lenox.
All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to the hearings, written comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 29.
