“This is a tragic incident of domestic violence in which a husband was responsible for taking his wife’s life and then taking his own,” Ryan said in the statement. “Our thoughts are with the O’Connor and Peabody families as they struggle with their loss.”

On Saturday, Jan. 16, at approximately 5 p.m., Waltham officers responded to a family member’s request for a well-being check on Forest Street. When they arrived, they found the two residents deceased, both with gunshot wounds.
