Several Break-Ins Over The Weekend: Newton Police Logs

NEWTON, MA — The following is from Newton Police. It is a sample of the types of calls the Newton Police respond to. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. And all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Follow the Newton Patch on Facebook.
Friday, Sept. 1
Thefts: Two people called in to report thefts. One call came in at 2:39 p.m. and reported a larceny on Waltham Street. The other reportedly happened at the NEFCO warehouse at 281 Newtonville Ave. at just before 6 p.m.
Break in: Someone reported a break in happening at 1:35 p.m. on Cotter Road.

Lock your car doors: Someone else reported a car was broken into on Ober Road.
Vandals: Waban Hardware reported vandalism at their building.

Saturday, Sept. 2
Break ins: Someone reported a car break in on Hamlet Street and another break in, possibly a home break in on Walnut Street.
Fight at the hotel?: Someone called to report an assault at the Marriott Hotel on Comm Ave.
Larcenies: Two thefts were reported from buildings, one from the Trader Joe's and the other from Coleman House on Winchester Street.
Sunday, Sept. 3
Caught in the act: Someone called just past midnight to report a break in - happening right then - on Camden Road.
Forgot the keys: Someone called to report they were locked out on Langley Road around 1:30 p.m.
Bike gone: A Cherry Street resident called to report a stolen bike around 7:30 p.m.
Monday, Sept 4
Stolen: Someone called to report a larceny on Merton Road just after 10 a.m.
Bikes: Two other calls came in about stolen bikes, one taken from Milo Street, and the other taken from the Hollis Hotel on Centre Street.
Happening now: Someone called to report a break in happening just before midnight on Kirkstall Road.
