NEWTON, MA — The Street Chestnut Hill is getting ready to welcome Chef Dave's, a new restaurant concept by local private chef David Welch that is set to open this winter.
Before deciding to open his first-ever restaurant, Welch catered parties for every size and occasion, from intimate social engagements to political fundraisers. He decided to embark on his new venture in Chestnut Hill to remain close to home and still cook for many of his private clients in Boston, Cambridge, and surrounding areas.

“Chestnut Hill is my home and serving the community has real meaning for me," said Welch in a statement. "I’ve enjoyed a sustained career cooking for a growing list of private clients, and my new concept affords me the opportunity to serve and delight the broader community on a daily basis."
Chef Dave’s will offer some of Welch's most famous dishes and unveil new creations in a laid-back "bistro-style" setting. The restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, as well as takeout and customizable catering.
