The Street to Hold Second Annual Sidewalk Sale

Artist Curtis Kulig will unveil a new mural, "99.9% Happy," and host an interactive public sticker installation on July 23.

Chestnut Hill, MA – Artist Curtis Kulig will be on hand at The Street in Chestnut Hill July 23 as the shopping complex holds its second annual Sidewalk Sale.

The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and feature exclusive summer discounts, perks and entertainment. Kulig will stop by to unveil a brand new mural, "99.9% Happy," and host an interactive public sticker installation from 12 to 2 p.m.

Kulig's signature piece, "Love Me," a two-word manifesto branded in cities around the world, including Tokyo, Paris, London and Istanbul. The iconic "Love Me" has attracted the attention of the New York Times, Vanity Fair and Vogue, as well as collectors and celebrities like Seth Rogen, Pharrell Williams, Bobbi Brown and Karlie Kloss. Kulig has also collaborated on several fashion lines.

Kulig's piece is now coming to Chestnut Hill, with the "99.9% Happy" mural sporting 53 black and white signature "Love Me" smiley faces and one red frowning face. During the interactive sticker installation, participants will have the opportunity to work alongside Kulig and place small sticker versions of the signature smiley face on designated surfaces at The Street.

In addition to the art display, the Sidewalk Sale offers a number of deals for shoppers, including 60 percent off select styles at VINCE; 25 percent off at Ku De Ta; 15 percent off at Polkadog Bakery; discounts on gift cards at Showcase Super Lux; complimentary hand facials from skoah; and $5 gift cards toward future purchases with every $25 spent at Juice Press. The first 200 shoppers will also receive a complimentary canvas tote, designed by Kulig for The Street, and a "Love Me" green juice from Juice Press.

Former brands at The Pop-Up will return for the day; the lineup includes florist Alice's Table, bagel artisans OMG! Bagels and dessert masters Sweet Lydia's.
