SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. NEWTON, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced that ramps connecting Route I-90 east and I-95 north will be closed on the night of Thursday, Jan. 2 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. "These closures are necessary for crews to safely conduct construction operations related to the Newton/Weston bridge rehabilitation project at I-90/I-95," MassDOT said in a statement. Drivers travelling along I-90 east will be redirected to I-95 south where they can take exit 37 to eventually get on I-95 north.
