Vandalism at High School, Vehicle Break-Ins, Car Stripped: Newton Crime Logs

Thursday, August 25

• Police took a report for a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle at Chaske Avenue. The caller said that overnight someone stole money from her unlocked car while it was parked in the front of her residence.

• Analise Wilson, 23, of Waltham, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle after suspension, as well as defective equipment, after being pulled over for driving with one functioning brake light.

• Police were called to Newton South High School for a report of vandalism. The caller said he observed the defacement of the field house and asphalt. Responding officers found spray paint on the asphalt driveway and another design on the wall of the field house.

• A man reported his Honda broken into on Hammond Pond Road. He said an undisclosed amount of cash had been taken from the vehicle, which was unlocked. Nothing else was missing.

Saturday, August 27

• A past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was reported on Woodbine Road. The caller stated that an undisclosed amount of money was missing.

• A past larceny was reported on Village Road. The caller said he parked his 2015 Honda in front of his house the night before and when he returned to his vehicle all four tires and rims were missing.

• Police took a report for larceny of a bicycle at 130 North St. The caller said that sometime during the night someone stole his bicycle, a hyper green-colored, specialized 650B. The complainant stated that the thieves cut the chain with bolt cutters.
