Victoria's Secret Shoplifter Steals 100 Pairs of Panties, Phone Lifted From Car in Supermarket Parking Lot: Newton Crime

Friday, August 5

• Police responded to Park Avenue for a report of a possible breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, officers noticed a white work truck parked in the driveway. The callers stated that they saw an older white male with grey hair and wearing a t-shirt and knee pads at the end of the driveway. The man was holding an orange tool box that the callers recognized as one previously inside their residence and owned by another construction company. Police are seeking a hearing for a 48-year-old Bellingham man for attempted larceny of the tool box.

Saturday, August 6

• A resident on Parker Street reported a past breaking and entering of his garage; he told police several items had been stolen.

Sunday, August 7

• A past shoplifting was reported at Victoria's Secret at Chestnut Hill Mall. The caller said around 12:20 p.m. a woman entered the store and stole 100 pairs of low-rise panties.

Tuesday, August 9

• A man came into Newton Police headquarters to report his iPhone 6 Plus stolen. He told police the phone was stolen out of his car in the Star Market parking lot on Monday around 4:30 p.m. He said he was pretty sure the vehicle was unlocked.
