Wellesley Symphony Orchestra Performance Sunday, February 9th

The Wellesley Symphony Orchestra (WSO) continues its Emerging Artist Series in a performance on Sunday February 9th in the McKenzie Auditorium at MassBay Community College, 50 Oakland Street in Wellesley Hills.

A world-class orchestra, the WSO will feature storytelling and music, highlighted by excerpts from Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Shakespearian storyteller Nora Hussey.  The symphony will also play Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, which will feature Harry Rylance on piano.

A pre-concert t talk will be led by Leslie Holmes at 2:15 pm.

The WSO is conducted by Musical Director Max Hobart.

Tickets are free to ages 12 and under, $20 for seniors and students, and $25. Groups of six or more can be purchased for $15.  Tickets are available at Walgreens Wellesley; Wellesley Books, Roger's Piano, Natick; online and at the door.  The event is free for MassBay students, faculty and staff.
