City services (schools, library, post offices): Closed

Banks: Check with your financial institution

Newton Parking: Meters are free. at the Russell J. Halloran Recreation Complex on Albemarle Road.

Trash/recycling: If your trash day is Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of this week, pickup will be delayed one day. 

MBTA: The Red, Blue, Orange, Silver and Green Lines will run on a Sunday schedule, but additional subway trips will be added throughout the holiday weekend to accommodate those who are coming into Boston for the July 4th festivities. Trackless trolleys and buses will also run on a Sunday schedule. The Commuter Rail will operate on a Saturday schedule, with some adjustments to accommodate ridership.
