Woman Comes Home to Find Apartment Broken Into, Night of Car Break-Ins, Disorderly Conduct: Newton Crime Log

Friday, March 24

• A breaking and entering was reported on the 2300 Block of Commonwealth Avenue. The caller said she arrived home around 10 p.m. and found the door to her apartment forced open. Several items were missing.

Sunday, March 26

• Jalal Ahmed, 32, of Forest Hills, NY, was cited after a two-car crash at Washington Street and Hunnewell Avenue. Ahmed was cited for unlicensed operation, uninsured operation and operating after a revoked registration.

• Anthony Pirro, 24, of Needham, was arrested after police responded to Northgate Park for a report of a group of intoxicated people yelling and screaming. Pirro was charged with disorderly conduct.

Monday, March 27

• A past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was reported on Halcyon Road. The caller said between 9 p.m. the previous evening and 7 a.m. that morning someone entered his unlocked car. Nothing was taken.

• A past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was reported on Glenwood Avenue. The caller said two cars in her driveway were entered overnight. Both vehicles were unlocked. An unspecified amount of loose change and a pack of cigarettes were taken. Cameras show two people enter the driveway at 12:44 a.m. and leave two minutes later.

• A past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle was reported on Miller Road. Between the previous night at 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. that morning someone entered the caller's van, which was parked in his driveway. The van was unlocked and nothing was taken.
