Woman Kidnapped from Newton Assisted Living Facility: Police
Police say 62-year-old Beth Birnbaum left the CareOne Health Care facility Tuesday afternoon with a 55-year-old acquaintance.

NEWTON, MA - Police are searching for a woman who they believe was kidnapped from an assisted living facility in Newton.
The woman, identified by multiple news outlets as Beth Birnbaum, 62, was taken from the CareOne Health Care facility Tuesday afternoon by 55-year-old David Collignon, police told reporters.
Collignon, an acquaintance of Birnbaum's, reportedly visited her earlier in the day and was told she could not leave the facility. Employees noticed she was missing around 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when they found her wheelchair outside of the building, multiple news outlets reported.

According to police, Birnbaum has medical needs and was not signed out.
Police are looking for a 2015 grey Honda Fit with a Massachusetts license plate number of 744-YR1.
