Worker Allegedly Runs Off With $2,000 Leaf Blower; Fight Leads to OUI Charge: Newton Police
The following are excerpts from the Newton police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Nov. 7
- Police were flagged down by a female who reported that she left her handbag unattended on a bench at the corner of Dexter Road and Bulloughs Park. When she returned five minutes later from the waterâs edge, her handbag was gone. She didnât see anyone near it. In the pay was an iPhone, credit card and ID.
Nov. 8
- Police were dispatched to the area of Chapel Street for a report of a fight in progress. The vehicle was still running and the operator was standing outside of the vehicle talking to the passenger of the motor vehicle. The man said he had been driving and that he hit the curb when he was trying to pull the car over. Police detected the strong odor of alcohol, and his eyes were glassy and he was unsteady. He was treated by medics and transported to the hospital. A citation was given for OUI to this male from Marlborough, 29.
- Dispatch queried Adam Busuito and it was learned there was an active warrant out of Watertown on him. Busito had fled toward Holland Street after seeing police. Officers began to search and he was spotted and chased and apprehended on Lewis Street. Adam J. Busuito, 24, 31 Purchase St., Milford, was arrested and charged with violating a no trespassing order, and warrant
- Police responded to Jefferson Street as requested by Revere Police to verify the return of a missing person, Theresa Bayh. She met police on the front walkway, and was placed under arrest for warrants out of Dedham Court. Theresa Marie Bayh, 61, 50 Jefferson St., Newton, was arrested and charged on warrants for marked lanes violation, operating a MV with suspended license, driving with suspended license

- Police were dispatched to Sevland Road for a report of larceny. While en route dispatch advised all responding units in the area for a BOLO, to be on the lookout for a white van that should have a leaf blower in the back. The victim said that a Hispanic male who was working on Sevland Road stole his walk-behind leaf blower valued at $2,000 and fled down Greenwood Street. He was walking around the blower, looking nervously and rubbing his head, picked it up and put it in the back of his van. The victim ran after him but he drove off. Juan Carlos Gonzalez, 33, 35 Elliot Road, Revere, was arrested for larceny over $250.
