Samuel F., of Newton, on April 26, 2015. Beloved son of Alice and Rabbi Van Lanckton. Beloved brother of Rabbi Benjamin Lanckton and beloved brother-in-law of Alisa Lincoln. Uncle of Noah and Talia Kate. Sam was a brilliant writer, lover of poetry, collector of friends, inspiring wit and open soul.

Services at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton, on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 10:00 am. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, Shiva will be observed at his residence, 198 Dedham Street, Newton: Wednesday 7-9 pm , minyan at 7:30 pm; Thursday 2-4, 7-9 pm, minyan at 7:30 pm; Friday 2-4 pm; Saturday 8:30 – 10 pm, minyan at 8:30 pm; Sunday and Monday 2-4, 7-9 pm, minyan at 7:30 pm.
