4 Juveniles Charged In Car Break-In Spree: North Andover Police

Police have charged four juveniles after more than 30 motor vehicle break-ins were reported in a week.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Police have arrested four juveniles accused of breaking into residents' vehicles and stealing items. Police said there were more than 30 reported motor vehicle break-ins between Nov. 26 and Dec. 2.

Police posted an advisory on social media following numerous break-ins Nov. 30 that asked residents to report any suspicious activity and provide video footage of the suspects. Several videos were sent to police that showed four males on foot committing the crimes.

On Dec. 1, police received a call from a resident reporting four males attempting to break into her vehicle. Police responded and attempted to locate the suspects.

Residents calling in to the dispatch center also reported the suspects attempting to enter their vehicles. A description of the suspects was provided to police.

Police ultimately found four suspects matching the descriptions. They were taken into custody and charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle with intent to commit a felony.

"These arrests would not have been possible without the collaboration between our residents and our police department," police said in a statement. "We urge the public to keep reporting and sending us any footage you may have of any suspicious activity you had/have experienced with any attempt or completed of breakings in your area."
