Acting Out! Theater Company Creates "Pure Imagination"

"Willy Wonka" Comes to North Andover

10 years ago, Willy Wonka was Acting Out! Theater Company’s very first full scale production, selling out four perfomances at Andover Town Hall. In March, Acting Out! will celebrate this anniversary by bringing the magic back, this time to the Performing Arts Center at North Andover High School, with several members of the original cast.

The adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder and new songs by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, The Musical is a homage to the classic original film.
“I can’t say enough about our amazing cast of newcomers, Acting Out! alumni, parents performing with their children, and siblings that have joined our cast to make Willy Wonka a fantasmagorical treat!" Says Director and President of Acting Out!, Linda Schoonmaker.

“It’s the wonderful actors, along with the sets, music and songs that make this show such an amazing experience for all ages!” said Dave Cook, who will be reprising the role of Willy Wonka.
