Andover Woman Runs to Support Cancer Research
A local woman is running the New Balance Falmouth Road Race to help conquer cancer.

On Aug.17, Deborah Enegess from Andover runs the 42nd annual New Balance Falmouth Road Race to help conquer cancer as a member of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s team.
Enegess, along with more than 225 Dana-Farber teammates from New England and beyond, will cover the seven-mile race course with a goal to raise $700,000 to support adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber. In 2014, the Dana-Farber team celebrates its 12th year of participation in the race’s Numbers for Nonprofits program.

Each Dana-Farber team member commits to raise or contribute at least $1,250. The team this year is striving to generate an average of $3,100 per runner. One-hundred-percent of funds raised go to the Jimmy Fund (www.JimmyFund.org), which solely supports Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, raising funds for adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research to improve the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world.
