The Andover/North Andover YMCA received a $1.2 million gift in honor of swim coach’s wife, and the new family pool will be named after her.
The $1.2 million gift will be used to name the new family pool being built in honor of Jane Cronin, former aquatic director of the Merrimack Valley YMCA.
The public is invited to hear details of the expansion and construction plans from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the Andover/North Andover YMCA, 165 Haverill St., Andover.

Members of the Glancy Family, who made the $1.2 million gift possible, will be present, as well as members of the Cronin family.
The Andover/North Andover YMCA expansion will create a community space dedicated to active healthy living that matches the current needs and anticipated future needs of the community.
