Interested in the North Andover Senior Tax Relief Program?

Applications for the North Andover Senior Tax Relief Program are now available for pick-up at the North Andover Senior Center. The application must be filled out completely and include all required documentation.

• Applicants must be 60 years of age, own and occupy the property for which North Andover property taxes are paid, and meet the minimum skill level required for the assigned position.
• Chosen applicants must complete 90 hours of service between September 6, 2016 and May 26th, 2017, (total hours per week not to exceed 10).
• To be considered in the application process you must provide your most recent property tax bill, complete an I-9 Form and the application including Parts A and Part B.
• Additionally you must present a government issued ID and provide your own transportation. Applications must be returned to the Senior Center by 1:00 p.m. on Friday July 15, 2016 without exception.

If the number of applicants exceeds 35, the selection process will be made by lottery on August 12th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the North Andover Senior Center.

If you are selected you must be cleared through the CORI system and then you can be assigned as a volunteer to a position that matches your skills.

• Senior Center
• Stevens Memorial Library
• Stevens Estate
• Police Department
• Veterans Office
• Water Department
• Community Development and Building Department

Participants who complete all their 90 contracted hours by May 26th, 2017 (no exception) will receive $810.00 in a property tax abatement based on $9.00 per hour of service. This amount is considered taxable income.

A Medicare payment of approximately $10.00 will be deducted from your total tax abatement.
