Police said Kimball reported being the victim of an armed house invasion in which two unknown perpetrators held a knife to him. Police added that Kimball told them that he fought off the attackers, injuring one of them and that both perpetrators fled the scene.
During the course of the investigation, however, police said they uncovered evidence showing Kimball had provided false information to police to cover up an armed robbery involving the theft of heroin in which he was the perpetrator, not the victim.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges could be filed against Kimball in addition to those above, according to the North Andover Police.
