North Andover, MA - The Brooks School in North Andover was rated the #15 private high school in Massachusetts, according to a survey recently released by Niche.
The education research group based the rankings on statistics, student and parent reviews, and expert insights. Ranking factors include SAT/ACT scores, the quality of colleges that students consider, student-teacher ratio, student and parent reviews, and more.
At the time of the analysis, Niche’s database contained records for 8,051 private high schools across the United States.

The Brooks School earned high scores for its four-year matriculation rate and its student to teacher ratio.
Phillips Academy in Andover was rated the top private high school in the state and the nation.

Among the factors that led to Phillips Academy topping the national list was an average SAT score of 2180, an A+ grade for top colleges considered, an A for diversity and culture, a 99 percent four year matriculation rate, and a 7-1 student to teacher ratio.
Phillips Academy is a private, boarding, co-ed school in Andover. It has 1,122 students in grades 9-12.
Presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush graduated from Phillips Academy, as did New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, among many others.
