Bully Busting and Managing Meanies

Nadine Briggs, director of Simply Social Kids in Tyngsboro, will present a program for families with elementary aged children on bully prevention. Nadine will help parents navigate the bullying circle by examining the roles of: the bully, henchmen, supporters, passive supporters, disengaged onlookers, possible defenders, and defenders. In this workshop, she will discuss reasons why some children present a greater target for bullies and ways to help all children involved in the bullying circle, including how to help personally empower kids to stick up for themselves as well as what can be done to help a bully change his/her behavior.
