'The Butcher from Down Under' Demos Skills

Celebrate Australian food & wine with a special meat cutting and cooking demonstration & wine tasting with Master Butcher

Doug Piper, “The Butcher from Down Under,” comes to PRIMEHOUSE Meats at The Vineyard this Friday, Oct. 23, from 5:30-7:30pm for a free demonstration of his “nose to tail” meat cutting and knife skills. In addition, Australian lamb appetizers and Aussie wines will be served.

Meat lovers, foodies and amateur cooks alike will receive a unique lesson in “whole animal”  meat cutting techniques from Mr. Piper, one of Australia’s most celebrated Meat Men and holder of the coveted ”Master Butcher” title.

Starting at 5:30pm, Mr. Piper will deconstruct a whole Australian lamb and demonstrate his meat cutting techniques and knife skills that made him a Master Butcher and Australian TV personality.

Mr. Piper will share his knowledge of different cuts of lamb and their best cooking methods. He’ll be joined by Chef Adam Moore who will prepare different dishes with these cufor attendees to sample.  Lamb pizza and Gumbo are on his current menu.

And since nothing goes better with Australian lamb than good Australian wine, Gary Ballard of M.S. Walker will sample seven new wines from Down Under, all recently added to The Vineyard’s wine list.
