Old Andover's Historic Center Walking Tour

Learn about the center of old Andover, the people, places, and stories that occurred before, during, and after the two Andovers split into the towns we know today. This walking tour will take us into historic houses, through cemeteries, and around our Common as we talk about settlement, the witch trials, wars against the French & Native Americans, Revolutionary heroes and villains, and the development of the common before and throughout industrialization. It is a functional Andover 101 on foot.

This is a walking tour which will involve two hours of walking and involve a staircase in a historic house. The tour will occur even in a light rain. Attendees should wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen, and bring an umbrella if rain is expected.
