Construction Worker Found Dead After Fall Down Elevator Shaft: DA

HAVERHILL, MA — A worker who appeared to have fallen down an elevator shaft was found dead at a construction site Tuesday morning. The Essex County District Attorney's office said the victim, a 41-year-old man from Haverhill, was pronounced dead at the scene at 98 Essex St.

The victim's name is being withheld pending family notification.

OSHA and state and local police are investigating the death.
