Converse to Open Mall Store in NJ

Looks like Converse is going to the mall.

which is based in North Andover, is opening a store at the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, N.J., the Boston Globe is reporting. This will be Converse's fourth store in the United Stateds and first store in a mall.

The new store, which opens May 5, will also allow customers to design their own footwear and apparel.

“We are excited to open our very first mall-based platform in Westfield Garden State Plaza, and the largest in New Jersey,” Jim Calhoun, President and Chief Executive Officer at Converse, said in a press release. “Converse hopes to give consumers an opportunity to spark creativity with our Converse Customization in-store programming. We look forward to sharing the Converse spirit of originality and innovation with the New Jersey community.”
