Cystic Fibrosis Night at Rolf's Next Week

On Friday, Nov. 23, local business owners are teaming up with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the North Andover Merchants Association 3rd Annual Cystic Fibrosis Night at Rolf’s Pub.

“It is great to have the Merchants Association show such a commitment to our cause,” said Dean Thornhill, an East Water Street resident who has been raising money for Cystic Fibrosis for over two decades.

Located at 39 Main Street, supporters are invited to stop by Rolf’s from 6:00pm – 11:00pm on Friday, Nov. 23. Patrons will be charged a $5 cover charge, with 100% of proceeds being donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Members of the North Andover Merchants Association (NAMA) also donated items to support raffles, with all ticket sales supporting CFF.

“We’ve had such a great response from our members,” said Rolf’s owner Lesley Carlson, Vice President of NAMA. “Our first year we raised $1,600; last year we raised $2,400. I hope we can do even better on the 23^rd.”

“Both years we have had around two-dozen businesses donate to the event,” said Phil DeCologero, who organizes the event with Carlson. “Our business owners truly step up to support this night.”

Carlson said the event attracts residents of all ages, with guests this year being treated to pizza donated by Taki’s Pizza on Salem Street.

“We have a lot of people in their early twenties, many joined by their parents,” said Carlson. “Many of our business owners also come for a great night out.”

Sylvie Foulds, owner of Kids Karousel, has been happy to support the event each year.

“Supporting our community is what NAMA is all about," said Foulds, who serves as President of NAMA. "We're glad to provide the support."
