Damaged Mailboxes and Shoplifters

The following are excerpts from the North Andover Police log. The information is open to the public.

Wednesday, July 6

3:04 a.m. A caller on Buckingham Road reported that when he called his girlfriend, she threatened to harm herself and then made some strange noises and hung up the phone. He didn't know whether she was playing or serious. Police went to the girlfriend's home and she said she must have been asleep when her boyfriend called and that she was fine.

7:27 a.m. A caller on Mayflower Drive reported that several mailboxes in that neighborhood had been damaged overnight.

12:50 p.m. reported two shoplifters. Police charged Ashley Sokolowski, 25, of 21 Portland Court, Haverhill, and Cole Nephew, 27, of 40 Locke St., Haverhill, with shoplifting.

4:16 p.m. A caller on Winter Street reported that his elderly father had gone missing an hour before. Police called in the State Police Air Wing, and the elderly man was found, safe, at
