Earlier this week, I took my wife to the airport at 6:00 in the morning. Isn't it amazing how many people are in the terminals at Logan that early in the morning ! And just outside at the departure curb, a bumper car mentality exists. And jay walking is the preferred way to get from point "A" to point "B".
And the State Police, they've got you on the 10 second clock: it's like pulling in for a pit stop at a Nascar race.
Well, here's a suggestion on how to avoid all the chaos: When you drive into the airport, head for the "Arrivals" area downstairs in the terminal. There are hardly any arrivals at that time of the day, so it's virtually abandoned. No traffic, and you actually have some time to help your flyer get their luggage out of the car and wish them well. They head in near the baggage carousels and take an escalator upstairs. It'll take some of the initially tension we all feel as we head for the gates !
