A Moment in Time presents "A Tribute to Benny Goodman"

On January 16, 1938 the world of jazz ans swing changed forever when famed clarinetist Benny Goodman took the stage at sold-out Carnegie Hall in New York in what has been billed as the world's most famous jazz concert. Now, 74 years later, The Capitol Center Jazz Orchestra, Clayton Poole, music director and clarinet virutoso Ken Peplowski, an actual alumnus of the benny Goodman Orchestra, will salute this pivotal concert in muisc history in a tribute to Goodman, the King of Swing. Included will be such timeless jazz classics as "Don't Be That Way," "Avalon," and the iconic swing performance of "Sing, Sing, Sing."
