Savor the wines of the Pacific Northwest on Saturday, June 11th, 2011 from 12:00PM to 5:00PM, as the Wine ConneXtion, located in North Andover, MA hosts Andrew Rich, owner and winemaker of Andrew Rich Wines, for a complimentary in-store wine tasting of his distinctive and award-winning Pinot Noirs and Rhône wines.
Named one of Wine & Spirits Magazine’s “Top 100 wineries of 2009,” the Wine ConneXtion will be pouring Andrew Rich’s distinctive wines from Oregon’s Willamette Valley, and guests will have the opportunity to sip and swirl the featured wines while speaking directly with Andrew Rich himself.
Andrew Rich has been crafting distinctive wines since 1995, making his home at the Carlton Winemakers Studio, the country’s first ‘green’ cooperative winery, since 2002. Known primarily for his Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs, Andrew has long championed Rhône varietals such as Grenache, Roussanne, Syrah and Mourvèdre, which are now being grown with outstanding success in Washington’s Columbia Valley. Still, it may be his luscious and sexy Gewurztraminer, made in the style of an ice wine that has earned him the most praise.
