Smolak Farms Presents the Gingerbread House Workshop: The Yummiest Event of the Holiday Season

(Greater Boston, MA) – Once upon a time, you were invited to an event that even Hansel and Gretel couldn’t resist! On December 17^th, 2011 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM, follow the trail of crumbs and join us for our annual “Culinary Housing: Gingerbread House Workshop” event- filled with sugar, spice and everything nice at Smolak Farms located in North Andover, Massachusetts!

During "Culinary Housing," Kids from “1 to 92” can experience the joy of creating a delectable work of culinary architecture that is as much fun to build and decorate as it will be to eat. Smolak Farms will provide parents and children with all of the tasty delights that they’ll need to construct their very own personalized houses, made out of everyone’s favorite holiday items such as: flavored icings, candy canes, chocolate snowmen, candy sprinkles, gum drops, cookies and loads of fresh-from- the-oven gingerbread to start constructing their very first culinary masterpiece and home. Participants will be given step-by-step instructions while under the expert eye of the Smolak Farms bakers, who make the signature cider donuts and pies at the farm stand everyday!

Holiday cheer will be in the air with warm cider and cocoa available for purchase. And don’t gobble up all those delicious treats… Save a cookie (or two) for a special visit from SANTA CLAUSE himself! The class will cost $40 (per couple or parent/child). This holiday workshop is all about having fun while giving back.

*The workshop will run from 10:00AM to 12:00PM and space is limited. Seating is first-come first seated; registering is necessary and can be done by calling 978-682-6332, ext. 0 using a major credit card. All reservations are final and non-refundable. Prices reserve you a spot in the class, include all ingredients and decoration materials. There will be one gingerbread house per child/parent and/or couple to take home.

Doubting your building abilities? Not to worry! While there’s no need for a toolkit at this construction site, premade Gingerbread houses will also be available at the Smolak Farms Farm Stand!
