Freeze Warning for Most of Massachusetts Sunday Night into Early Monday Morning

Freezing temperatures are anticipated for tonight as temperatures dip to lower 30s in the North Andover area.

The National Weather Services has issued a freeze warning for late Sunday night through the early part of Monday morning for most of southern New England, including Andover.

Temperatures are expected to be in the lower 30s.

The freeze warning includes much of southern New England away from the immediate eastern Massachusetts coastline and locations surrounding Narragansett Bay. It also includes several counties in Massachusetts including Middlesex County. The freeze warning remains in effect from midnight Sunday night to 9 a.m. Monday morning.

The National Weather Services issues a freeze warning when forecasted freezing temperatures threaten outdoor plants. Those with agricultural interests in the warning area are advised to harvest or protect tender vegetation. Potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered and brought inside away from the cold.
